Used in many industries including fire service, oil & gas, utilities & communications, the Altair 5X Multigas Detector is an instrument that detects up to five gases to be used for confined space applications with motion alert features that activate in a ‘man down’ scenario if no motion is detected for 30 seconds. It can also alert those around them to potentially dangerous situations that could cause injury or fatality.

Two variant launch kits were created for our distributors. The aluminum ‘collectors’ kit was created for distributors who had already preordered the device while the second ‘steel case’ variant was used to persuade buyers by communicating potential product sales.

Many features were included in the exclusive kit including a 3D lenticular of the internal product mechanism. an Altair 5X instrument, belt clip, operating manual & product information, & a USB drive ‘replica’ containing additional marketing information.

Both kits drove high sales numbers which resulted in MSA’s product of the year two years running & the Occupational Health & Safety Award for New Product of the Year.
