Pittsburgh Crossefire

Once upon a time Pittsburgh had a lacrosse team. This particular lacrosse team needed a mascot - a devilish mascot that could show all the other teams that they were ‘hotter’ than the rest.

Joining fifteen teams within the National Lacrosse League, the Pittsburgh Crossefire was born. I was commissioned by KMB Design & the Pittsburgh Civic Arena to come up with concepts that would be used on all their merchandising, literature, & ultimately their team jersey as well.

Although they only played for one season, it was a wonderful experience seeing one of my designs running feverishly up and down the field & larger than life floating above the crowd on the ‘Jumbotron’ scoreboard.
